Privacy Policy

Version 1.4 · Effective 16 October 2026

This policy covers bsjventures.com and the watch app, run by BSJ Ventures LLC and its wholly owned subsidiary Brich House LLC ("we", "us"). Our address is 331 Newman Springs Rd, Ste 320, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Questions: inquiries@bsjventures.com.

We collect little, keep it for a stated time, and never sell it.

What we collect, why, and for how long

The request form (/request).

  • What: the request type you choose, your name, work email, organisation and message, and the time it arrived. We do not store your IP address or browser details with it.
  • Why: to answer you, and to keep a record of what was asked and when.
  • How long: 24 months, then deleted. That covers the copy in our business email too.
  • Sharing: if, and only if, you tick the box asking to be introduced to our affiliate Lion-Heart Advisors LLC, we share that one request (your name, organisation, email and message) with it. From then on, its own privacy terms govern what it holds.

The weekly email ("What changed").

  • What: your email address, where on the site you signed up, and when you asked and confirmed.
  • How it works: we send one confirmation email. Nothing more comes unless you confirm. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
  • Leaving: every issue has an unsubscribe link and a one-click unsubscribe header. Leaving deletes your record, and any earlier copy is gone within a week.
  • Sharing: we never share, sell or rent the list.

The free checks (sanctions, crypto wallet, router, US market, and similar tools).

  • What you type: we use it only to answer you, then forget it. We do not store your query.
  • Our logs: they record that a check ran: the time, which check, its result (for example, match or no match, and how many), and how long it took. For checks where you pick from our own lists, they also record what you picked, such as a product type or a country. They also record the link label described under "How we count our own links" below. They never record what you typed, your IP address or any identifier.
  • The US-market check: it runs in your browser and sends us only the product type and the country.

The watch app (/app).

  • What: your users’ email addresses; your organisation name, if you give it; your answers during set-up; the equipment and supplier lists you upload (including site references); and the evidence record of checks, alerts and signatures.
  • Why: to run the watch for you, keep it secure, and bill you. Nothing else, and never to build another product.
  • Card details are taken and held by Stripe, never by us.
  • Site references are shown only to your organisation’s signed-in users. They never appear in an email, an evidence file or a log.
  • How long:
  • Account records are deleted when you delete the account, and leave our backups within 35 days.
  • The evidence record (every check, alert and signature) and every version of the lists a customer uploads, including site references, are kept in storage locked for three years from the day each entry is written. This applies to trial accounts as well as paid ones, and it continues after an account is cancelled or deleted. In the ordinary course no one, including us, can alter or delete a locked entry during that time. Only a deliberate, logged administrator action can lift the lock, and we take it only on a court order, or at the customer’s written request where the law allows. We keep these entries because they are the record behind the customer’s government representations.
  • Deleting an account deletes its users, sign-in and account records at once, and from our backups within 35 days. It does not remove locked entries before their lock ends. We delete each locked entry when its lock ends, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • App logs hold no email address, account id, site reference or typed text. They are kept for up to a year.

Email you send us. If you write to inquiries@ or another of our addresses, we keep the message to answer it and as a business record. It sits in our business email service, Google Workspace.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

  • Public pages: they set no cookies, store nothing in your browser, and run no third-party analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tags.
  • How we count our own links: when you arrive through one of our ads, emails or posts, the web address carries short labels (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) naming where we placed that link. When you run a free check, sign up for the weekly email or send a request, we record those labels in the log line for that event, matched to a fixed list of our own categories; anything not on the list is recorded as "other". This tells us which pages and campaigns are useful. The labels describe the link, not you: we record no ad-click identifier, set no cookie and use no pixel for it. If you clicked one of our ads on another site, such as Google, that site’s own privacy policy covers the click on its side.
  • The watch app: it sets one cookie, bsj_s, only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in for up to 7 days, can be read only by our app, and is used for nothing else.
  • Tracking: we do not track you across other websites, and we do not let others do so on ours. We therefore do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.

Who handles data for us

We share personal information only with these service providers, each bound to use it only to provide its service to us:

  • Brich House LLC, our subsidiary: it operates the platform.
  • Amazon Web Services: hosting, storage and the sending of email, in the United States.
  • Vercel: hosts our website, and passes app requests to the watch.
  • Stripe: payments for the watch.
  • Google Workspace: our business email.

We also disclose information where the law requires it: for example, in answer to a valid court order or subpoena. For watch customers, we tell the customer first unless the law forbids it. If our business is sold or reorganised, the information may pass to the successor, under this policy.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of people.
  • We do not investigate, score or assess individuals. Our tools check companies, equipment and transactions, and the sanctions check does not show results that name only individuals.
  • We are not a consumer reporting agency. Nothing we provide is a consumer report, and nothing we provide may be used to decide a person’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Security

  • Encryption: we encrypt what we store, under keys we control.
  • Access: we limit who can reach the data, and keep each watch customer’s data separate from every other customer’s.
  • Logs: we keep them free of personal content wherever we can.
  • No guarantees: no system is perfectly secure, but if an incident affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires, and watch customers as their terms provide.

Your choices and requests

  • To see or delete what we hold about you, write to inquiries@bsjventures.com. We answer within 30 days, after confirming who you are. The only records we will not delete on request are those we must keep, such as the watch’s locked evidence record, which is kept for the period stated above.
  • To stop the weekly email, use the link in any issue.

Our services are for businesses in the United States. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We date each version of this policy and post it here. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will email the people it affects before the change applies.
